A main reason for my love of fashion expression is fitting whatever feeling or attitude you have into your everyday lifestyle. Even better, though, when I can identify myself with a brand and their humble beginnings.
Shoe designers and co-founders of FRĒDA SALVADOR, Cristina Palomo-Nelson and Megan Papay, have a success story that has served to be an inspiration to me because they stick to their roots as a San Francisco brand. They show that home is truly where the heart is, with their design studio located nearby in Sausalito.
As a part of my journey in the fashion industry, a lot of people have discouraged me and told me that I'm in the wrong place, that I absolutely need to be in LA or NY.
Finding out that I'm not the only one that shares the belief that there are other ways and different paths, makes me feel even closer to working with creatives in this thriving and intermixed fashion/tech industry.
As a cool bonus, having the pleasure to have met and worked with the FRĒDA team has, well, satisfied the fan girl in me!
I truly believe that there are always opportunities to make it anywhere, if you're willing to look for it, and make them happen for yourself.
As I continue to take each step forward in taking on the world, I definitely love booties I can walk around in any city with as comfortably as possible.
This COMET heeled beauty in gorgeous black leather is like an 2-in-1 boot, because it has a removable shoe bracelet, which can make for cute bracelet cuffs for a festive look or just for fun!
My favorite shoe of the moment is this flat fringed sandal for summer called WING, and it's an in-store exclusive only.
So who is FRĒDA SALVADOR, you ask?
~ She is her own woman.
She's captivated by sunset evenings and raining mornings.
She's influenced by the arts and lives on her own terms.
She embraces her soul in every laugh, sweat, and tear.
& I'm inspired by her everyday. ~
