Once June hit, change was in the air.
It began to feel hotter, days became brighter, and just like that we're halfway through the year. What a scary thought!
These last six months were probably the most growing up I've had to do within a short amount of time and we're only in the beginning.
I'm a college graduate and by now, I thought I'd have my life together, a steady career to show for it all.
Truth is, I love the pace I'm going. Things aren't moving so quickly that I can't appreciate each improvement, it's moving steadily for me to appreciate each achievement.
I've taken time to accomplish some personal goals of mine and appreciate the family and friends that have supported me through it all.
No dead end career just to get by has ever supported me (not talking financially) more than my family and friends have.
So I make time.
KEY #1: Finding balance in our everyday lives.
Look at your life. You may not be paying attention to things you should at the moment. If you've been focusing on you too much, take a time out and focus on your family. If you've been focusing too much on a significant other, focus on yourself and your needs. In one short moment, life can make it seem like you lost something important. Then the universe grants you with experiences you will never forget.
KEY #2: Remain humble, no matter your flow.
I have my crazy moments where too much can become too much at one time. I'm getting some recognition, the recognition is giving me confidence, and at the same time I'm trying not to lose sight of what it is I still want. But most importantly, the values that make me who I am.
KEY #3: Stick with creating the life that you want.
Perspective and your attitude is everything. Use time to reflect the past week, months, or years! Remind yourself of how far you've gotten - even when you haven't gotten to where you want to be. Be patient - treat every day as a new opportunity and keep striving to become the best version of yourself everyday.
It's finally summer! Enjoy yourself!
